Our client is looking to recruit a Category Marketing Manager to cover a 12 month maternity contract. The role will suit someone from a client side FMCG Category or Brand Management background, Grocery Retail experience or someone with a strong research agency background. The key to success is very strong analytical/data analysis skills. You will be very familiar with continuous data sources such as IRI/Kantar and be comfortable pulling out insights, making clear category recommendations and presenting to the major multiples. The team is lean and this is a key role developing and managing the category and trade strategy working closely with the brand marketing and sales teams to deliver and implement key business objectives.
Our Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role you will ideally have a proven Category Management background ideally gained from the FMCG arena. You will have an excellent commercial acumen with strong analytical skills and be highly numerate. You must have a strong understanding of market research, sales and brand marketing. Strong interpersonal skills are essential and you will need very strong influencing and negotiation skills. You will have well honed project management skills with strong leadership skills and be use to working in cross-functional teams. You will be a self-starter with a very motivated, action oriented style and have the ability to manage teams and bring them on your journey.
