Responsibility:

  • To liaise with internal business teams, to ensure that integrated marketing plans are implemented effectively using a number of marketing techniques including brand development and exposure, creation of traditional marketing literature, online promotion, e-mail marketing, event co-ordination etc.

To include, but not limited to, the ongoing creation and presentation of actionable insight relating to market size, profitability, key trends, approaches to segmentation and competitive positioning.
* Develop and manage the Group’s product and proposition roadmap, including recommending the delivery of new, and improvement to, existing products and services in line with agreed strategic marketing plans for the Group and each SBU.
* Lead, manage and support the development of new products and services, including

specific distribution, claims and added value services propositions in line with SBUs and Group functions.
* Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across the organisation including those at a senior level.
* Challenge and define requirements whilst being able to identify, define and respond to changing and evolving requirements.
* Effectively appoint and manage external research and information agencies to optimise the value gained from each and effectively contribute to the delivering strategic insight.

Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

* Proven track record in undertaking and delivering market research and analysis and presenting actionable insight to senior management.
* Strong understanding of the product development process with significant experience of leading the delivery of new products and service propositions.
* Preferable to possess in-depth understanding of the commercial insurance market, with strong product knowledge.
* Likely to possess relevant professional qualification in market research.
* Desirable to be either CIM or ACII qualified, or working towards this.
* Experience in managing market research agencies and knowledge of core research databases.
* A proven track record in interpreting data for business use.
* Strong analytical and numeric skills.
* Strong communication skills both written and oral.
* Team player who can work effectively in a matrix organisation structure.
